Prashant Godbole began his career as an art director on the iconic Hamara Bajaj campaign and has since been behind some of India's most celebrated and influential advertising work. Over a career spanning three decades, he has worked with many of India's leading agencies, earning recognition at the world's most prestigious award shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, London International Awards, New York Festivals, Asia-Pacific Advertising Festival, as well as India's Ad Club Mumbai and Goafest.
Alongside advertising, photography has been a lifelong passion. His photographic journey gained international recognition with Airtel's Express Yourself campaign, celebrated for its authentic slice-of-life imagery. His work on Mumbai Mirror – Hated By Some earned him the Photographer of the Year award at Goafest, while the campaign also won honours at Cannes Lions. His photography for the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association brought him another Photographer of the Year title at Goafest, along with Gold and Silver at the Asia-Pacific Awards, Silver at the Clio Awards, and recognition at the New York Festivals.
In 2024, Prashant became the first Indian photographer to win Gold for photography at Cannes Lions France.
In 2026, a single campaign done for The NBA won 42 international awards, including honours from D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, London International Awards, and Cannes Lions. The same year, he was invited to serve as Jury President at D&AD in London—becoming one of the few Indians to chair a jury at the prestigious awards.
Today, Prashant is the Founder and National Creative Director at ideas@work. In addition to leading creative work, he works as a photographer and film director for leading brands, while regularly mentoring the next generation of creative talent through guest lectures at art, photography, and film institutes across India.
